We bring in large quantities of masks on a daily basis.
TYPES OF MASKS
N95 - NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) Approved Face Masks
These are the FDA/NIOSH Approved Masks for Medical Use.
The process of getting a product approved by FDA takes at least 2 months including test if everything goes well.
The number of factories and products holding this approval is very limited.
Therefore, in a pandemic like COVID19 the production and supplies of these are strained. That's the shortage.
Please donate these to the front line health care workers if you happen to have access to them.
We ship these directly to the health care organizations for doctors and nurses.
They are not offered here for sale to the general public to protect the supply to the front line health care providers.
These are variants of N95 that pass foreign standards of filtration tests which are similar to N95.
Because FDA have not had a chance to actually assess and offer these N95 designation, they are often used as a secondary option only when N95 masks are not available or in severe shortage according to CDC guidelines.
They offer the same tight fit design as N95 with 4 layers of protection.
They most often come in folded in a package of 10 to save on cost of shipping and storage.
The availability of the KN95 releases the pressure of demand for N95 which are desperately needed for Health Care Providers.
We have boots on the ground to vet our factories vigorously and only bring in the masks that are made from factories with proven filtration test.
Premium Disposable 3 Ply Face Masks
These are sometimes called surgical masks. They are made using premium material with high standard of manufacturing process and offer premium filtration protection.
They are cleared by FDA for general non-medical purposes for the general public that have exposure to higher traffic or with conditions that require premier protection.
We are very strict in the vetting of these masks to make sure that they pass high standards of filtration test.
These are also used by Health Care Providers as a secondary option when N95 masks are not available or in severe shortage according to CDC guidelines.
Disposable 3 Ply Protection Face Masks
Masks are made available for general public in mass quantity to help reducing the spread of any virus, bacteria and provide maximum filtration of small articles.
They create a barrier between you and other persons. They also cover up your month and nose to keep you from touching them.
We also vet these factories to make sure that they use materials of high quality and follow strict manufacturing process.
How Masks are Made?
There are 2 aspects of making a good mask: material and manufacturing process
We have boots on the ground to inspect and monitor.
Facilities are required to be extremely clean. Workers are required to wear protective gears including masks, caps, shoes and sometimes gowns.
Materials used have to meet the highest standard of the industry.
The top layer has water resistant quality and is used to keep droplet from sipping through.
The middle layer is the critical filtration layer made of special material.
The inner layer is made of breathable material for comfort.
Home made masks often do not use these materials and therefore offer much less protection against the tiny particles.
CDC Issued the following guidelines:
"HCP use of homemade masks:
In settings where face masks are not available, HCP might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face."
Our masks are professionally made with special filtration materials.
They should be considered before you reach out for any of the above.
We are doing our best to raise capital, organize a dedicate team who are taking risks and working diligently to bring these in and make them available.
